Cindy Ling

Cindy began exploring art as she was transitioning to retirement and began traveling to new places. She found she could draw or paint what she was seeing and feeling and it would capture the moment for her in a way that she could not achieve with her camara.

Cindy has explored a variety of mediums but particularly enjoys chinese brush painting.  She loves the effects of water on rice paper and the elegance and simplicity of black and white.  

 

Cindy has studied chinese brush painting at San Jose City College and Pacific Art League.  She has taken classes at Southside Community Center, Cupertino Senior Center, Campbell Community Center, and has taken workshops at University Art and San Jose MOMA.  Cindy has learned from many local artists and participates in activities with the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, Los Gatos Art Association, and Cambrian Art League.
